3 Handy Pages That Will Make Your Shoot a breeze!
With every shoot come a set of challenges. A good Producer will have a few tricks stashed up their sleeve and know exactly when to pull them out to make sure that your shoot runs as smoothly as possible. When it comes to paperwork that will help along the way, there are a few things that you absolutely must have available if you don’t want to go grey before you’ve even wrapped.
- ‘Quiet – Filming in Progress’ Sign
This sign says it all and it’s a basic necessity. It lets passersby and people in the vicinity of the shoot know that they need to keep quiet and it minimises unnecessary audio disruptions and re-takes.
- ‘This Room Has Been Booked Until *Insert Time*’ Notice
Again, it does exactly what it says. If you’re filming behind closed doors, make sure to let people know you’re there so that you’re not rudely interrupted and no delays are caused.
- Talent Release Forms
A seemingly small, but enormously important piece of paper is your talent release form. If there’s even the slightest chance that someone is going to appear on film, make sure to get them to sign a form giving your company permission to use their image in your content. All it takes is one unhappy person to cause problems at a later stage so protect your content and your company by making sure you have crossed all ‘t’s and dotted all ‘i’s.
